Vanmac Group, the umbrella organization of Vanmac BV Turf Equipment and TRILO Smart Industries, has appointed Christiaan Arends as its new CEO effective August 16, 2022. Together with shareholders Leo van Loen and Peter van Mispelaar, he will form the Board of Vanmac Group.
Christiaan Arends new CEO
Christiaan Arends comes from the Royal Barenbrug Group (producer of grass seeds) where he worked for 24.5 years in various positions at home and abroad, but the last 8 years as Head of Marketing & Sales.
About his new position, Christiaan says: "I am happy that I can start contributing to this wonderful company that makes and sells high quality machines and where people are proud of what they make and do. There is a serious ambition to further grow the company. I look forward to achieving this together with all colleagues".
Structure Vanmac Group
The companies TRILO Smart Industries (manufacturer of sweepers, mowers and vacuums, leaf blowers and verticute units) and Vanmac Turf Equipment (trading house for global trading activities within the turf industry) have grown substantially in recent years and are increasingly focusing on their own ambitions. For this reason, it was decided to make a split, including a own housing for both companies. The separation of the two business units will allow for further expansion and optimization of operations. In doing so, Vanmac Group will continue to drive central business processes such as finance, marketing, Human Resources, Research & Development and ICT. The Group will also focus primarily on new business, innovation and partnerships with new companies.
