Na een aantal jaren te zijn verwaarloosd, is er een project aan de gang om de inheemse heide rond de 18 holes te herstellen door Course Manager Jody Wilson. Zijn team van vijf greenkeepers en een machinepark van TRILO helpen Jody bij het cre\u00ebren van de ideale groeiomstandigheden.<\/p><p>&#8220;Ik kwam voor het eerst in aanraking met het TRILO-product tijdens mijn tijd bij Woburn Golf Club, waar we een van de eerste machines in het VK kochten&#8221;, legt Jody uit, die nu 13 jaar bij Mid Herts werkt. &#8220;Naar mijn mening zijn zij marktleider op het gebied van blad- en afvalverzameling, dus toen onze vorige machine problemen begon te geven, ben ik naar TRILO gegaan om naar alternatieven te kijken.&#8221;<\/p><p>Met al twee TRILO BL740 blazers in de schuur, voegde hij in de winter van 2017\/18 een S4 zuigwagen aan zijn collectie toe. De club heeft nauw samengewerkt met Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust aan een plan om bosgebieden\u00a0<span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); font-size: 1rem;\">open te stellen om de regeneratie van heide aan te moedigen, wat een groot project voor Jody is geweest. &#8220;We hebben veel eiken die in de loop der jaren op de baan zijn ingegroeid, wat betekent dat het bladseizoen maar doorgaat. Heide en lang gras houden niet van organisch materiaal, dus in een poging om de juiste omstandigheden te cre\u00ebren, verzamelen we elk blad dat valt &#8211; een dagelijkse taak in de winter.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); font-size: 1rem;\">We gebruiken onze BL740&#8217;s om het afval van de baan te blazen, waar het vervolgens wordt opgevangen in de S4.&#8221; De S4, die vanaf het moment van aankomst in gebruik was, heeft in de herfst\/winterperiode meer dan 140 ladingen (of 560 m3!) bladeren verzameld. Hoewel hij voornamelijk wordt gebruikt voor het verzamelen van bladeren, heeft Jody ook het klepelhulpstuk voor de S4, wat betekent dat ze nu in \u00e9\u00e9n werkgang de lange roughs kunnen maaien en verzamelen, wat voorheen met twee aparte machines werd gedaan. &#8220;Nu kunnen we beide taken tegelijk uitvoeren, we besparen tijd en mankracht en de verwisselbare aanbouwdelen maken het een veelzijdige machine die het hele jaar inzetbaar is.&#8221; &#8220;Waar we de bladeren hebben opgeruimd, is de heide op natuurlijke wijze teruggekeerd over de baan. Het is voor mij de afgelopen 10-11 jaar een doorlopend project geweest, maar we boeken nu echte vooruitgang.
