The company traces its origin to a forge in Hoogland, established by Cees van Loen in 1932.

On the left of the photograph from the early days you can see Cees, with his wife Marie in the centre.

Mechanisation had not yet had an effect on agriculture. This is illustrated by the large amount of hand tools in the background.

After the war, agricultural mechanisation increased and alongside horses, the first tractors and harvesters began to appear in Hoogland.

Left: a self-built manure tank. At the time, this technology was unusual for spreading manure. A fuel tank from the army and instead of a vacuum pump, the intake air from the engine was used to fill the tank.
